To remain and calm and respectful to not only my children but especially to my stepchildren when they are angry or having a tantrum. Don’t add fuel to the fire, count to ten, listen to them and answer politely no matter how frustrated you are! It really does diffuse alot!

When you have a newborn – have a shower before your partner leaves for the day, otherwise you will not get one! A shower makes you feel better, ready for the day and motivated. The best parent advice ever from a midwife and one which I have passed on.
