Iconic butter brand LURPAK, recently crowned the world’s best butter at the 2018 World Cheese Championships, is encouraging Australians to beat the winter blues by enjoying an earlier celebration of the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas in July.

To mark this celebration, LURPAK is giving five butter lovers the chance to win a delicious feast valued at $100.

To celebrate, LURPAK is partnering with international cook and former MasterChef Australia contestant Sarah Todd, to pay homage to butter, which is often the unsung hero at every festive feast. Whether you’re an amateur cook or seasoned home chef, LURPAK’s distinct light flavour will elevate everyday dishes from good to great.

  • Incontestable!
    YULE have to try
    GRAN’S PLUM PUDDING –
    So good YULE cry;
    Rich with butter
    And all things good –
    I’ve never tasted a better pud;
    Generations down it’s passed –
    Made with love
    To ‘star’ at each Christmas repast;
    In July it’s extra nice
    Means we get to eat it ….
    TWICE!

  • Christmas Pudding served with warm Brandy Custard.

  • Trifle. It’s my favourite because not only you get cake but you get custard, jelly and biscuits all in one. It’s the perfect Christmas in July dish for big kids like me.

  • The Naughty Rooster! Henry
    It would chase our daughter around the yard, crow at her.
    She was petrified.
    Henry tasted fantastic last Christmas in July.

  • I love all the hot puddings, that you can’t really enjoy in the heat of summer.
    But my absolute favorite dish would be roasted sweet potato and pumpkin with a medley of herbs, all salty and crunchy… yum ;)

  • Roast chicken with all the trimmings!

  • Vegetarian “Log”, broccoli, Yorkshire puddings with Quorn sausages, roast carrots & sweet potato… and gravy!

  • I can’t beat my Gluten Free Chocolate Fudge Brownies because they’re always a hit with the family, especially when I make them with (a lot of) Lurpak butter!

  • Trifle, both in the Summer and Winter it’s my favourite!

  • Baked mashed potatoes with a cheese, butter and breadcrumb topping! A side dish that is delicious, creamy, rich and absolutely a favourite at my holiday tables!

  • Roast chicken with stuffing, chips with gravy and corn on the cob.

  • Roast Pork with crackling and roast potatoes, pumpkin and onion followed by pudding and/or pavlova! Very traditional but it’s what I love and it doesn’t take much to get me in the Christmas spirit!

  • Turkey with apricot stuffing.

  • My favourite Christmas in July dish is the Mandarin and Dark Chocolate Yule Log, so delicious.

  • Christmas Pudding. It’s too hot to enjoy it at Christmas, so we buy it after Christmas (half price!) and save it for July.

  • My husband is a huge seafood fan, so he’d like nothing more than to enjoy some caper and parsley crusted cod, while I can’t stop dreaming of a delicious steak with chimichurri bearnaise sauce. Yum!

  • chicken roast , roasted potatoes salads and dessert

  • It wouldn’t be Xmas without the baked Xmas ham!

  • Christ,ss to me is the smell of roast turkey with lemon safe and butter just magical

  • Nothing better than having a traditional Plum Pudding in the cloth served with lashings of custard and cream twice a year particularly in the middle of a cold winter! Double helpings for me!!
