We think our mums only deserve the very best and thanks to our friends at Kleenmaid, one lucky mum is going to win the Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive Heavy Duty 12kg Top Load Washing Machine, worth $1,999.

Imagine a washing machine with unique features that provide a better, gentler and more economical wash result. The Kleenmaid Eco Sensitive LWT1210 12kg top load, heavy duty washing machine with gentle pulse wash technology does this and more.

The multi-directional variable pulse impeller is the key to the efficacy of the Kleenmaid LWT1210. It creates a toroidal omni flow motion in the wash water that gently moves and cleans your wash throughout the washing machine. This ensures a complete and thorough result whilst avoiding damage to your fabrics.

Intelligent Wash

When selected, Intelli-Wash automatically weighs your wash load and sets the wash parameters for an optimal result for your wash load and type, saving you time and effort. LWT1210 has 16 Eco Sensitive wash programmes allowing mixed loads of colours and whites. It also has a 35-minute Quick wash and a Rinse/Spin only feature. This stylish laundry appliance has a soft close, easy view toughened glass lid for safety and convenience and has been durability tested for the equivalent of up to 20 years normal usage. To add to your peace of mind, this appliance is covered by our 5 year, full parts and labour warranty, and is supported by our highly skilled national service network.

Winners for this competition

  • The cat. Samantha used to love snuggling up in the tumble dryer during winter, but when we switched the tumble dryer with a front loader no one realised she was in there until the screeching commenced. She shot out, bedraggled and hissing and hid under the bed for two days, poor little darling.

  • A dirty nappy ???????? my husband didn’t see it wrapped in the clothes and it went through the wash with everything!

  • The craziest yet oddly most common thing is definitely my daughters nappy. I don’t know how it got in there but it was a used one as well. So I had to clean out the mess and then re wash.

  • Is it even a family wash if you don’t find your kids toys? My son even attempted to wash a box of cereal but thankfully it was rescued before the washing began. That’s what I would call clean eating.

  • Our cat !!!
Don’t worry, we heard the meows of little Henry before we turned the washers on. We must have left the door slightly open, cats just love a warm dark place !
Henry sure used up one of his lives that day !

  • Kids cream mosquito repellent

  • The lost TV remote

  • Ive washed my hair scrunchies plenty of times by accident!

  • A feather pillow that was put accidentally in the washing machine by my daughter when she was 8 trying to help me with house chores. This was wrapped up with a dark throw and it all went in with a load of blacks, I still have nightmares trying to get all the black clean of feathers. But I;m glad she didn’t give up in helping me and got better at doing the laundry. This would be a dream come trough as my washing machine is on the bring , as I do 7-8 loads a week as I have a disable son that I look after.hank you for the opportunity Kleenmaid !

  • Few years back , I was working in a pub with a motel attached. Washing was in the machine, pulled it out and put into dryer. Walked into laundry to find $2000. Tumbling. Money laundering.? Boss left money in his pocket, not lost property. Haha

  • Not from me but my cheeky nephew hid his sausage in the clothes I had ready to wash in the machine. He hid it well. Can say Aunty Lou was not impressed when everything smelt of sausage haha.
I thought he was a good boy who ate his lunch so I surprised him with a toy.
I couldn’t be mean to take it back.
To win a new washing machine when mine is sadly breaking would be the best gift ever. I could have a date day with my hubby and celebrate this win.

  • I unintentionally washed my passport the day before an overseas trip. After frantic hair-drying and book compression, it looked okay but the Coat of Arms had washed off. Needless to say Customs at Sydney airport weren’t too impressed, but they still let me go. My passport never looked so clean!

  • I once accidently left the television remote control in my tracky dacks which I then hurled into the washing machine without checking the pockets. I wondered why a “ghost” was apparently controlling my television, changing channels and turning it on and off. Spooky!

  • Bacon, car keys, tennis balls,
you name it- I’ve washed them all.
Toddler said the bacon fell on the floor,
he threw it in the front loader door.
One of the weirdest items washed,
    my reaction was… golly gosh.
    Weird world of washing machines,
at least the bacon was clean!

  • A set of car keys. Not a cheap exercise!

  • I would say my phone as I can’t find it right now and I just put a load on! I’m hoping not. I do some funny things as a sleep deprived mum of 3 (set of 1.5 year old twins and a 4 year old).
The craziest thing I have washed was the TV remote. I don’t know how it ended up there but I have a feeling one of the boys put it in there. Still works though!

  • The craziest thing I have intentionally washed was a mop head. The craziest thing I have unintentionally washed was my child’s toy snake, got quite a fright that day.

  • In 2020, we all thought that the biggest problem we had was potentially running out of toilet paper during lockdown. Try a roll of toilet paper rolling off the shelf into the open washing machine! Washing your clothes with a roll of 3-ply, Mouths of Mums, it makes you cry!

  • I unintentionally washed a small foldup hiking pole. It somehow got caught up in clothes and I didn’t realise it was there until I heard the clunking in the machine.

  • A screwdriver! Being the handy mum that i am, I was tightening a screw under our kitchen sink and threw the screwdriver into a pile of clothes, planning to put it back later…. hours later I forgot and did a load, a huge banging sound later and it was discovered!
