1 lucky mum will win an Owlet Smart Sock Plus Worth $549.99

The Smart Sock Plus can track your child’s heart rate, oxygen level and sleep trends with readings available via the Owlet Care App s from birth to five years old (up to 25kg). That’s right, this baby monitor allows parents to track their bub as soon as they’re born up until early childhood!

But what exactly is the Smart Sock Plus tracking and how?

The Smart Sock Plus tracks a baby’s heart rate, oxygen level, and sleep patterns via a comfortable sock that wraps around bub’s foot. Parents can gain insights into their child’s well-being via the Owlet Care App. But it doesn’t stop there – the Owlet Care App and the sock’s Base Station notifies parents when their little one’s readings are in the preset zones or if their little one’s readings fall outside the preset zones.  Owlet Smart Sock Plus Competition Image

This baby monitor offers parents more confidence, more freedom, and more peace of mind – all factors that can lead to getting more sleep while your bub snoozes, too.

With the Smart Sock, 96% of parents say they felt less anxious and 94% of parents reported better sleep quality.

Want to win an Owlet Smart Sock Plus? To be in the chance to win, simply tell us what was the best advice given to you from ‘expecting mum’ to ‘mum with newborn’?

  • That as long as your baby is happy and content, it doesn’t matter their diagnosis, they just need love and their mum.

  • Don’t ever take anyone else’s advice/ opinions to heart. Every mother is different as is every baby. What works for me won’t always work for you. You are not failing. There is no handbook. It’s about learning and growing together. Ignore that pile of washing and those dishes on the sink, your little one will grow so quickly. Those little messes will happily wait whilst you make your memories and live your best mum life ❤️

  • if you’re not sure, go to the doctor. Better to be safe

  • My best friend gave me this kids words after my first baby arrived when people were trying to inject themselves into how what i should be doing ‘Do what ever works for yourself, your husband and the new baby and don’t listen to want others, society or media have to say as there is no perfect way to be a parent. The more calmer and relaxed your are as mum the more settled your baby will be. Remember that this may be the hardest job you ever do it will be far the most rewarding role that you have’

This advise helped me through those first few difficulties week of a new born and i have carried this words through of my 3 little babies and it is the same advice I have now provided to other first time mums.

  • To embrace the cuddles as they’re only little once. And no two babies are the same, so do what’s best for you!

  • The best advice was to nod and smile at advice given by well meaning people, but that my experience will be unlike any other mum and I can just trust myself in the right time.

  • If i wrote a tiny thing wrong then i could be in court, that’s the way people with no humour are & it’s sad.

  • Listen to everyone’s advice, but take on only what is useful to you.

  • to enjoy each moment as they grow up way too fast

  • Best tip would be don’t listen to anyone else, trust you’re own judgment. You’ll learn as you go, everyone does parenting differently.

  • Don’t be “the perfect mum” for social media and peers. You’re always perfect in your kids eyes and that’s all that matters/ Sometimes we can’t do everything so don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect!

  • Soak it in but ask for help. Just because you reach out doesn’t mean you are doing a bad job, motherhood is damn hard so lean on those around you.

  • Don’t expect to much from yourself, you are doing your best in every situation. Enjoy cuddles and rest and leave the housework.

  • to always enjoy and relax as their is no manual and everyone learns

  • You’re not a failure, you’re just learning how to be a good mom

  • Do t neglect yourself. You might have to give up valuable time because you have a child to look after but neglecting yourself could easily result in the husband losing interest if he’s a visual man

  • I haven’t started receiving all of the advice just yet but one of the main things I can see is that I will need to manage my expectations when I have my baby.

  • Enjoy even the small moments. Time passes so quickly. Love them and they’ll love you

  • Take day by day as every day is different and things change so fast

  • Keep it simple. Either crying because hungry, sleepy or shitty nappy.
