How long does it take you to iron a business shirt?  Or have you ever sung a Robby Williams song whilst ironing?

A little over a week ago, to celebrate the birth of the royal baby and all things British, some of the mums who applied to review the Philips PerfectCare Aqua, but weren’t selected to review, were invited to attend an IRONING PARTY!

We had a load of fun and never realised we could laugh so much while we ironed.  Here’s a story in photos put together by the MoM Team …

The Philips PerfectCare Aqua Ironing Party was all the very best of British - freshly brewed tea, tasty little treats, dainty cups for sipping and British bunting to boot and a load of fun was had by all.

While we sipped tea, coffee or the odd glass of champers, Tom from Philips put the Philips PerfectCare Aqua through it’s paces and showcased just how fabulous the Philips PerfectCare Aqua really is.  From jeans to silk to my favourite black evening dress, Tom let the mums take over the Philips PerfectCare Aqua to iron on!

It was hands down an absolute sensation … with EVERY MUM at the ironing party deciding before they finished their first cup of tea that they had to have one for themselves.

The star of the show was Tom Paltridge from Philips (yes even Tom was British) with the Philips PerfectCare Aqua the Easy8 Ironing Board. We all found ourselves wishing we had someone just like Tom at home to knock our ironing piles down to size!

And of course, what party isn’t complete without a few party games?  Some lucky mums walked away with special treats from Philips for ironing a business shirt in the fastest time or guessing how long it would take the Philips PerfectCare Aqua to burn a little black dress (by the way the answer is it WILL NEVER BURN THROUGH).

Sarah was only just pipped at the post when she ironed a business shirt in 1 minute 52 seconds! She thinks once she'd practiced just a little bit more she would have halved her time.

The highlight was by far, karaoke ironing!  Yes each mum had to choose her favourite British song and then blast out a song while she blasted away the wrinkles in her ironing! Whether it was Spice Girls, Robby Williams or the Beatles, mums made their choices and ironed the morning away!

  • Because ironing takes so long, we only iron if we really have to, this would motivate me to iron & save time when getting ready

  • I use a phillips Iron at work for ironing chaircovers for weddings – and what can I say, it is a brilliant brand and cuts my work load in half by saving me time! I would love one to use at home, so I’m through with my ironing faster and can play with my little boy!
