Because life sometimes throws us curveballs as parents, Life Brain Training is offering one lucky Mouths of Mums member free 3 week NeurOptimal machine hire with unlimited sessions and support.

Life Brain Training offers NeurOptimal® neurofeedback sessions, machine rentals and support.

Who is Life Brain Training?

We are a Mum and Dad team that have a passion to help people just like us. Prior to starting our business, we struggled as parents with our eldest child who had emotional regulation issues. Searching for answers, we were introduced to NeurOptimal® sessions for ourselves to help with stress, depression and anxiety symptoms and got great results.

We were so pleased with the results we got that, we wondered if it would help our eldest child with her emotional regulation issues. After some research, we decided to rent a machine for 3 months and were so pleased with the results that we embarked on the certification training and Life Brain Training was born.

What is NeurOptimal?

NeurOptimal is a dynamical non linear form of Neurofeedback that was developed by Psychologists, Dr Val and Sue Brown from the Zengar Institute. It is not considered a medical device, but rather a tool, just like you would go to the gym for your body, this is like a gym for your brain, the difference being that it’s not hard work.

How does NeurOptimal work?

In its simplest form, sensors are placed on the ears and head to scan the electrical activity in the brain and you listen to nice relaxing music and the training begins.

It is important to note that nothing is being put into your brain or taken out and you don’t feel anything. The sensors monitor your brain activity (by scanning your brain 256 times a second) and right before it senses a shift in activity, the system will interrupt the music (this is the feedback part of the training). The interruption, signals to your brain that you have a choice to self regulate and come back to the present or
keep doing what you are doing.

A good analogy for this is if you are driving on the freeway and you veer out of your lane, you might hear the rumble strips on the side of the road signalling to you to get back in your lane if you want to (or if your intention was to pull over, you would ignore it!). What you do is 100% your choice and it doesn’t push your brain to do anything it doesn’t want to. Innately, our brains want to be better (just like a baby learns how to walk), our brains take the information it is given and the opportunity to self regulate.

What NeurOptimal can do for families?

NeurOptimal neurofeedback is designed to optimise brain functioning, helping to reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance focus and so much more. For the whole family, it is a gentle, non-invasive technology that helps support emotional stability, symptoms of ADHD and autism, stress management or even just enabling you to show up as a better version of yourself.

There is no age limit on who can use the system and as it works directly with your own brain and central nervous system, all results are individual and unique to what you need.

It is not a medical device, so there is no diagnosis needed, and as it is 100% natural, it is safe to use with medicines or other therapies.

At Life Brain Training, we love how NeurOptimal sessions have helped us and our clients and we can’t wait to support you on your journey.
We offer sessions in our Grantham Farm office in NSW however, we also offer machine rentals and support if you are not in NSW or if you would simply like to do the training in your own home. Whatever you choose, there is an option for you.

  • This would be unreal. Both of our children are neuro divergent but do not qualify for NDIS. All therapies are privately covered by us. Currently having school avoidance issues with one child and another severely masking at school, to let it aallll out at home!

  • Wow, this is pretty amazing. Ive always said my child is a old sole because she speaks better and knows things most 5 year olds shouldnt know. Id love to know how her brain is actually working when shes doing activities. She pretends she can only count to 3 in front of her teacher but can count to 100 with the exception of a few numbers at home. Id love to see or at least have a better understanding as to why she does little quirky things like this.

  • One child diagnosed with ADHD, another likely to be autistic (undiagnosed) and baby girl showing signed of ADHD already!
I’d love to be able to understand their brains more! Tune into them the way I can be the best mum.

  • Honestly I would cry if we won this opportunity. I have an almost 14 year old daughter, diagnosed ASD level 3, ADHD, anxiety and with severe emotional regulation issues to the point our family is suffering tremendously. Her OT and speech therapist gave requested breaks due to her dysregulated behaviour and we are at our absolute limit. I’ve looked into neurofeedback before but there is absolutely no way we could afford the cost to do it and living in regional NSW, we don’t have this treatment available to us.

  • This would be an insight into my little one’s mind and have him settle into a calming pre-school life.

  • I have dear friends that have 3 kids of their own and took on kids 2 First Nations kinship fosters that are struggling- I think
This would help the 2 little ones and give the family a chance to come together

  • would be great for our family

  • I have autism and as a result I have some developmental delays. I also have a child that is also susceptible to the delays so anything to help with that and help improve his health. Also, I could use that machine on myself to improve my overall wellbeing.

  • I think this could really help myself (AuADHD) as well as my 2 AuADHD children find some regulation strategies!! E are willing to try anything, after spending a fortune on medical professionals in exchange for gaslighting and minimal assistance.

  • I’d be very interested to try this. I am Autistic/ADHD, I have one child with the same diagnosis, and one not diagnosed…yet. We would love to give this a go as all 3 of us would benefit from it.

  • I’d love to see what’s happening in bubs head

  • I’d love to try this for myself as i have a recent ADHD diagnosis and struggle significantly with emotional regulation, stress and anxiety.

Ive been on and off trialling medications and as a result, heart rate and sleep issues have come up.

I have since gone off medication and am finding it extremely difficult to manage my emotions and moods and would just like to be my happy quirky self!

I have tried therapy, sleep specialists, mediations, yoga, sauna, classes, a million podcasts and self help audio books and would love to try the NeurOptimal machine!

  • Because I’m pretty sure my brain needs a “reset” after surviving three kids, a dog, and 17 loads of laundry.

  • I would like to try out the NeurOptimal machine because, as a busy parent, life can be overwhelming and finding ways to manage stress, improve focus, and enhance emotional well-being is essential. With the daily juggle of family, work. and personal health challenges like asthma and COPD, having a non-invasive, natural tool to support my brain’s ability to self-regulate would be incredible.
The idea of a “gym for the brain” is fascinating, and I’m eager to experience how NeurOptimal can help with relaxation, better sleep, and overall mental clarity. It would be wonderful to see how it benefits not just me but my whole family, making us feel more present.

  • I suffer from PTSD after the loss of my son. If this could help me at all, I want to try it please.

  • To help manage anxiety in my son he suffers and its affecting his confidence.

  • I would love to try this for my son

  • With a couple members in my home who suffer real bad with anxiety I would love to give this a go on them to see if it can help.

  • I would love this so i can check and have peace of mind for my grandchildren.

  • I’d love to try the NeurOptimal machine to finally calm my mum-brain, recharge, and maybe remember where I put my car keys for once!
