  • I haven’t, unfortunately we never made it that far. I’d try some facebook support groups, see what is out there. If this link doesn’t work, just type cerebral palsy support network. Good luck mama xx https://www.facebook.com/cpsnvic/?fref=ts

  • I haven’t gone through this but I know there is support networks out there.. maybe type online aupport networks for it in google yo start

  • I haven’t, but I want to wish you all the best for you and your son.

  • hi there. is it getting better :)…..

  • there are some good comments here

  • could you google and see if there are any groups u can join

  • You need to ask your GP to put you in touch with some professional help, the cerebral palsy league may be able to offer some advice too, I have an 11 year old boy in a similar situation

  • I do hope you found some advice that helped.

  • I agree, a support group would be fantastic!

  • I hope it works out :)

  • I think this is where a support group would be worth their weight in gold. Is there one in your local area?

  • Really tricky situation I hope you get through it ok.

  • This is something I am dreading with my daughters that have intellectual issues from a neurodegenerative disease. I know social stories have been known to help.

  • I think this is for the professionals to guide you, some kids are more sexually aware than others at this stage. Good luck and stay strong. Puberty is a challenging time for all parents.

  • I hope you find your answer

  • You are going to need some help my son has ADHD and it was a terrible time, ask your doctor for a referral for support and advice.

  • The CPA should have some advice otherwise goodluck and stay strong

  • your gp should have lots of info for you, perhaps join a group

  • Good luck with your struggle, I cant imagine the strain that is on you

  • I have a 10 year old with a significant intellectual disability so am tying to prepare myself for this time. My only real suggestion is what your already doing, making contact with parents who have experienced it first hand, and to find an understanding GP who can help direct access to specialized disability care services. I intend to keep my son busy & try and exhaust him in the process, I’ve noticed already when bored he gets up to more mischief.
