Hello!

Just wanted to know if 3 year old Kinder is worth it or not? I’ve heard mixed reviews? Thanks

  • I prefer sending my kids later to school even if I had to hold them back for one year

  • I had my youngest enrolled at age 3 and it was good for her social skills and she learnt a lot.

  • Thanks no childcare at the moment hes only 8 months old.

  • I think it would be good if your child isn’t in childcare but if they are already at childcare then I don’t think it’d be beneficial.

  • Everyones situation is different and i think it depends on you and your child.
If your child spends a lot of time with other children around the same age other then his brothers and sisters then its over to you. If there is not much contact with other children then it would be a wonderful idea.

  • If your child is attending some sort of registered day care, i wouldn’t recommend it. But if they are cared for at home, i think it would be beneficial.

  • My boy was not good at socialising and quite shy. We decided on 2 days a week in a 3 year old program and he loved it. This year at 4 year kindy he has found his wings and flown. We were happy with our decision however it does cost $$$$$. So if you’re happy with your child’s socialisation skills I’d leave it til 4. Good luck.

  • From my experience, definitely worth it. Both my children loved it and made lots of friends. It was a great creative outlet for them too and they learnt so much. I really enjoyed being involved with fruit prep and reading stories too.

  • My boys were both home with me so I decided to put them in. They loved it. My youngest is in 3 yr old kinder and my oldest in 4 yr old. It does help with socialising but also helps form relationships with the teachers and other students. That makes the transition into 4 yeat old better. And they just have so much fun.

  • is your child with you 24/7 and needs to be more social with chi;ldren yes.

But if they go to day care, mother group ect no its not worth it you would be best off putting them in day care for 1 day a week and letting them enjoy 6+ hours making Friends then only 2-3 hours of for nearly the same price.
