  • I say massage all the way! worked for me back then, and still does!
    Worth a shot!
There’s heaps of ideas if you Google massage for applicable age.

  • I use sleepytime time spray from a herbal shop just spray on pillow before bedtime helps relax them, also a night light or leave a hallway light on at night might help

  • Let him stay up longer, but still with the TV off.

  • he is probably just growing and doesn’t need a lot of sleep at the moment, try letting him stay up a little later and see if this helps

  • Nothing worse than hvn no sleep :(

  • Try going to bed earlier he may be over tired and this make it very hard to sleep.

  • Is there any underlying problems at school or anywhere else, which could affect him being able to relax at night for sleep. Make sure he doesn’t get overstimulated, physically or emotionally in the couple of hours before bed time

  • have you had any success?

  • the meditation cds are great, but there’s no issues with diet is there? too much food or sugar before bedtime?

  • Christianne Kerr does some brilliant meditation CDs for children – my kids and I all use these when we have trouble sleeping. They are really lovely and seem to work for us.

  • Celestial Seasonings Sleepy time tea for older kids works brilliantly

  • is there too much light in her room?

  • Hope things worked out well with all the useful advice

  • Maybe a night light or read him a story before bed

  • wow you have lots of long answers with ideas! good luck

  • Take him for a nice walk before bed the fresh air will do him good I sleep better after a walk.

  • More physical activity, early bath and dinner and switch off his room light

  • Make sure he’s taking part in lots of physical activity during the day to tire himself out. an afternoon walk as a family or running around the yard is great. Dim all the lights half and hr to an hr before bedtime and get him into a relaxed state. you could try meditation if nothing else works

  • Leave the tv on. My daughter watches a movie ( only on weekends) but jus a nice movie not a stimulating movie like wiggles n that. But they get so engrossed in the movie they just drift off
