Advice on children's hitting?

Hello!

I am currently trying to train my four year old with ADHD not to attack our family and pets when he is upset. It is quite dangerous and heartbreaking. Any advice?

What we do is
-model & praise behaviour you like to see
-help giving words to feelings
-social stories about gentle hands feet and mouth
-calming strategies (like deep breathing, yoga exercises, massage techniques, 1-2-3-4-5 grounding techniques, distraction & redirection)
OT may be able to help too with emotion regulation
