I love my side by side Westinghouse. Has ice maker and water too. It holds a lot, but the freezer would be a bit small for a massive family. The stainless is easy to clean too

My parents have a Westinghouse fridge that has lasted probably about 30 years. Good Guys or Bing Lee are great for budgeters as I find they are much cheaper than the other electrical stores.

Just keep in mind that the side by side fridge/freezers can be very narrow. I much prefer a stand alone fridge, especially for big families.

Fisher and Paykel are pretty good

westing house fridges are really good and big and much cheaper than imported brands.

Electrolux Kelvinator has been really good for almost 15 years now. What I appreciate most about it is the automatic defrost (a must in my opinion) plus its size. With lots of fruit and vegetables to store in the summer it is a must to have space. Shelves that you can adjust to suit your needs, space of bottles.. it’s been just great. Also good idea to maintain it well (clean seals etc. so they work well ) as well as making sure it’s balanced (which could create problems with door perhaps if it is leaning on itself akwardly).

Our fridge which is 20 years old is a Westinghouse so good value for money! Would love to see more answers here as we will need to replace at some stage!
