Hello!

My kids find the swinging motion extremely calming. They still very much enjoy swinging and find it is a great help for giving them a break from homework. Any ideas for a swing set to see them through primary school years?

  • The other day I was searching and found there are quite some good choices on ebay too

  • I remember my dad made our swing sets. My first swing was attached to the hills hoist clothese line. Great fun because I could wpswing backward and forward as well as round and round

  • Thanks for these answers. We have decided to look for a log frame swing and purchase suitable swing seats individually. Always good yo get some extra ideas. Thanks.

  • yes now this is where research comes in handy!. i know that the target swings are more pricey BUT they are great quality plus they have a bigger weight limit. Big w swings are heaps smaller weight limit. Toys r us are also good for their range of swings and playsets but very pricey. I think that it is worth spending more money in this department. My mum bought a swing set for the kids and a year later, the sun had bleached it and cracked a lot of the plastic plus it wasn’t a cheap set. We bought one and it is fine a few years later so yeah definately do your research.

  • Great question! Let me know also please!!!! My children (6 and 8) also love swinging and have outgrown their current swings – would love to purchase a larger one for Xmas but no idea where to start looking – toy and department stores seem to only cater for younger kids.
