If you have one, a carrier like an ergobaby or Tula would be great for the 1 year old – just to help with settling and even walking around the airport so you’re not chasing a toddler.

Take some new colouring books and puzzles that they haven’t seen before. Also wrap them, they’ll get excited and unwrapping them will take up another minute of time (doesn’t sound like much but it all helps). IF you have a tablet put shows and movies that are of interest to them.
