We have had ours a couple of years. It is growing wild. But still no flowers!

You need to train them up a trelis. We planted some last summer and they’re doing really well, but we have to keep them on track.

no advice but I had a pashionfruit body wash and my god I could smell it all day. It was so yummy

My only advice is never buy a grafted variety as you will regret it forever. Unfortunately this is the voice of experience talking as I cannot get rid of the runners our grafted passionfruit sends out. Have been trying for several years.

We only have one vine and we have trained it to grow over a wire fence. This year was the first year we got any fruit off of it though.

I was told years ago you needed 2 passionfruit vines planted near each other so the bees can pollinate the flowers & it only took a few years until it covered our pergola & we had an abundance of passionfruit.

I’ve got a trellis, just no flowers as they stems split off at the graft site but I have no idea which is the original plant.

my mum has them growing on her tree like up the trunk and branches and they are fine but you could also buy or make a trellis to put them on

if you purchase a grafted one, we sure to remove any shoots below the graft as the rootstock will take over and not produce. Also, you may need to hand pollinate if you dont have many bees doing the job. Check out youtube for how to do it

I agree; you need a trellis. Passionfruit must be trained to avoid tangling and mess. Good luck with growing your passionfruit; it is absolutely delicious.

If you are buying them from a Garden Centre ask a staff member for advice.
You need to grow and train them on a sturdy trellis. I am not sure when or exactly how to prune them. They need to be protected from the hot afternoon sun in the warmer months. Young plants possibly need covering in the hot weather. There is a correct time to fetilize and increase the watering.

They need a trellis to climb. Give them a little fertiliser and they will flower. If you do not have bees they will not become fertile so you will have to help. With cotton bud, tickle them and transfer the pollen from one to another each afternoon before sundown then wait for your fruit!

Hi My dad always told me to grab a liver (ox, sheep anyone) and dig a big hole drop the liver in and cover with some soil. Now plant your passionfruit plant. I also like to plant two together same or another type (black and yellow). I have about 20 vines in at present all going well and fruiting at different times. Shrelle D
