Hello!

It scares me :/ they’re so tiny and squirm so much, I’m terrified I’ll cut them 🙁

  • Yep this is totally me. My husband has always done our kids lol but apparently there is also a thing called a nail snail which is great to use as well.

  • I can’t remember having too much trouble. Just be gentle and take your time.

  • It is easier to cut the nails when the nails are soft after a bath.

  • Good quality nail clippers for bubs work well. Go slowly and gently and it should be ok. Best done when bub is sleepy.

  • Have you tried waiting until your baby is asleep?….you may need to do the same thing with toenails. It worked with one of ours, not the other one.

  • I squirmed as well, but using a nail file/ emeryboard, to sand them back worked a treat

  • It is really hard. I try and do it while bub is breast feeding, they’re nice and quiet then. And use baby nail clippers

  • My sister can’t bear to do my niece’ snails and my BIL nipped her. I do them for them with the baby clippers. I make sure she is not in a wiggly mood and do as many as I can in one sitting. It is really tricky and scary.
