Yes my youngest had it done. She has Down syndrome and her tonsils were always enlarged and has sleep apnea too. All went well and she recovered smoothly. It’s amazing how quick our little ones bounce back.

My brother was close to having his removed, when we started him on Vit C tablets. He never had tonsilitis again after that.

It’s all pretty non invasive now a days. And hospital staff are extremely lovely with the kids. And he gets lots of ice cream after. I know it’s hard, but try and keep stress to a minimum and good luck with it all
