Does anyone know what white dots on your nails mean? I think it is a lack of nutrients but not sure what – any clues?”
I have been told before it’s low calcium. If they get worse please ask gp. It can also be psoriasis.
I was going to say exactly what MoM81879 said.
I was always told it was lack of calcium. Now I think it’s more damage to your nails, it will fix itself
they are bruises
I have thought it was low calcium intake also.
I think they used to say it was a lack of calcium, but I’m not 100% sure. It could be an old wives myth. Google is brilliant fir this type of information
they are just bruises – no need to stress. They will grow out x
I heard they are bruises – will watch this post with interest
isn’t it a lack of calcium?
I thought it was low calcium?
It can vary; sometimes diet; sometimes nail growth; sometimes damage; best to get checked with your GP if you are concerned.
I have them too actually, I’ve never really thought about it
I got told it’s lack of vitamins ,could try multi vitamins
there are some good comments here
Possibly damaged the nail while still under the skin, with a blunt object or in the door.
Its a bruise …. you have knocked your finger on something they just grow out
I have always wondered that too
you could be deficient in some vitamins or it could be a reaction to nail polish??? Ask the chemist or your doctor
Some good advice there below.
they used to say it was calcium but now they say it is best to get them checked as it could be something more worrisome
