Are growth spurts an actual thing and how long do they last?

Hello!

We seem to think our four month old is currently going through a growth spurt and possibly teething she’s been crabby and unsettled we do the usual to try and make her settled with bum changes, feed, massages, play and cuddles. Any tips on how to help?

I found that at times my daughter’s appetite really increased but she wasn’t putting on any extra weight and I put it down to a growth spurts.
