  • I’m not a from a farming family but would love to be. I think. lol. I know they have a hard life and struggle so it must be very tough. I must have it in my blood though as on a much smaller scale I love my veggie garden and dream of having chickens and a beehive.

  • No I’m not but my husband grew up on a farm (he is from Northern Ireland though). They were breeding chickens to be sold at three days I believe and also had cows and sheep. My husband loved growing up at the farm, but as young boys they had to help quite a bit. When my in laws became older the would rent out the land and the farm house to other farmers, they still have a fair bit of land and equipment

  • Nope not farming family but I’m definitely curious to know the answer to this. It hasn’t been on the news so much as of late so I’m hoping that things are getting better for our farmers and that the rain is keeping up for them. It would be a tough gig

  • I am not – I’m very much a city girl. But in recent months as prices for things like milk have gone up, it has occurred to me that I don’t mind those increases so much if some or all of that increase is going to the actual producers – farmers. But is it?

  • I am not but my eldest son has been working on a cattle farm for the last 12 months. Hard work but he is loving the experience.
