Hello!

What are some plants we could plant from seed requiring minimal care and preferably pot bound due to limited outdoor space? What’s ideal for planting in Autumn? Would love to get Miss 4 involved in growing and harvesting more food. We are far from green thumbs!! Thanks!

  • I’ve been planting ,onion & carrot seeds ,they come up quick & easy to grow .

  • We’re just about to plant some parsley. In a pot because our dog is still young and likes to dig!

  • I have just planted a whole load of pansies.

  • Peas are great, but I find starting them the hard part (I can’t seem to keep them alive). Once you get past that, they are great.
Radish is another one, not sure how they are in pots.
Parsley never fails me and pops up everywhere.

  • I asked our garden centre this question not long ago! They recommended trying snow peas: the seeds are larger so easier for little fingers to plant. They get planted around this time of year, and it was recommended that when you plant them you plant them with a stake so they can climb up it and make it easier to harvest. From seed, the seedlings take about a week and a half to germinate. Can’t remember how long it is till you can harvest though.
