Trying to get my two year old to give up the baby bottle and was after a good transition bottle / cup

  • those 360 cups that the previous post talked about is very good

  • Tmac 360 cup there are a few our there on the market and they work pretty well

  • a silon spout cup is the easiest transition, otherwise if your little one can use a straw that may work.

  • Thank god i found this question, my 2 year old won’t take anything other then a bottle. We’re about to go through all of this

  • I think you can try going cold turkey for older children (and give a straw or something else entertaining so they can drink from a cup), or introduce a cup (of water) ever so often for younger ones (easier when in the bath or on a hot summer day in case they pour it out!). As the adaptation is made you could also try keeping a bottle just for end of day (when perhaps the most soothing is needed and the change would be hardest) and try the other options earlier in the day.

  • I use beebox straw cups. They are not a bottle as such but my little one loves his. otherwise a transitional cup with a silicon spout rather than a teat
