  • I am super picky and have landed on woolworths fragranced baby wipes and coles cub nappies. I went from Huggies to these after lots of trial and error. I also love that because the wipes are more affordable I can use them more liberally. Also suggest a weighted dispenser.

  • We prefer BabyLove nappies because they’re affordable yet great quality. They’re soft, breathable, and great absorbency. Coles Little Ones wipes have also worked really well for us. I also always keep Pigeon Baby Anti Mosquito Wipes on hand, especially when we’re out and about, to help keep pesky insects away from my little one while being gentle on her skin.

  • We just trialled the new IGA BabyBoo nappy range and can vouch for the quality and softness. They are really affordable too which helps when you are changing up to 8ish a day

  • I use baby love and huggies. Look for the cheaper ones on amazon and order in bulk. I also order water wipes the same way

  • Coles cub nappies are actually quite decent and are up there on quality. I also really like little ones premium wipes.

  • I was never a cloth nappy mum till our second was about 10 months. Wish we had done it sooner. We still used disposable of a night though as we found cloth just didn’t hold up over night but they were a game changer during the day

  • Another option is consider Modern Cloth Nappy, supported online by a group called Clean Cloth Nappy. I did cloth during the day and disposable at night because I treasured my sleep and didn’t want to risk a wake up due to leakage etc. In regards to MCNs there is a flood (no pun intended!) in the market and people who bought oodles can’t really resell them because so many are in the same boat. If you have a local buy nothing group on facey you may even score some, do a strip (refer CCN) and you’ll be good to go.

In regards to disposables, I always went huggies as I found the others leaked.

  • I always used the Aldi brand and even preferred it over Huggies. I have experience with Huggies and BabyLove, among others, and still preferred Aldi most of all. The quality is great and the cost is the best (other than going really dodgy like Black and Gold).
Your other option is modern cloth nappies, so you can continue to reuse them. I used the same batch of cloth nappies for both of my kids and was then able to on sell them.

  • Aldi Mamia or Woolies Little Ones.

  • Target used to have own brand nappies – I don’t know if they still do – but they were good. And cheap.

  • I always loved using the Aldi ones. They seemed to be just as good as the big brands. Other than that, where able, I used to use modern cloth nappies and was lucky enough to pick some up second hand from a friend.

  • We prefer Huggies because we found them to be the best quality. They never leaked and my kids never got nappy rash.

  • I always went for mid range priced ones. Too cheap are just rubbish and too expensive are just a waste of money

  • I kept away from the very cheap home brands of nappies and went for whatever was a good special. I used face washers not wipes.

  • We always bought Huggies in bulk and when on special.

  • I always used buggies nappies for my newborns but switched to cub when they were a bit older. Cub wipes are really great too.

  • I remeber I liked Huggies for newborns and cub wipes have been my favourite

  • We always went with Huggies.

  • Woolies spot nappies are good. Woolies spot wipes are good too you can rip them off one handed and they don’t tear leaving you with a poo covered finger.

  • We found the Costco homebrand – KIrkland – worked well and was cost effective.
