Hello!

What is a good gift for a mum expecting baby number two? I thought a Visa gift card and maybe some preserved flowers that can be displayed. I don’t know the person too well, it is a work colleague. Maybe a pamper pack for Mum for post birth?

  • I think something special just for her, maybe a massage or facial spa.. or a care package for her…all her necessities she will need.

  • Post natal massage is the best!

  • Post natal massage service would be a great one because they probably wouldn’t take the time to themselves post birth, being so busy. This would force them to think about putting themselves first.

  • If she is planning on breastfeeding, I’d recommend a haakaa silicone pump, i found this an absolute must have.

  • I like meal vouchers depending what’s available where you live a pamper pack for Mum is a lovely idea too.

  • Pamper pack sounds lovely or a food/meal voucher

  • I’ll be getting them a love to dream swaddle because it definitely made our life easier!

  • Things like new cot sheets might be appreciated if it’s been a while between babies (or the older child is in a toddler bed that still uses cot sized sheets).

  • Pamper pack definitely a great idea!

  • What everyone else is saying. A hamper. I personally would buy things for the baby if it’s the first baby. I bought a toy box and filled it with nappies, nappy bags, bath toys, etc. Things I liked and used for my babies.
I also crochet a unicorn stacking ring.
But if it’s not the first baby I would probably buy a little gift for the mum rather the baby.

  • I myself would put together a pamper pack for expecting mum for after the birth of baby, I would include a variety of things from body washes, soaps, moisturiser, gift cards, some chocolates, lollies or a journal or baby record book just little simple things that mum can enjoy.

  • I always like to buy something for the mum rather than the bub – maybe a facial or a massage?

  • I always do a little hamper up with bits and bobs I found super handy.
    -infacol
    -panadol
    -wipes
    -sudocrem
    – chocolate
    -lollies
    -tea
    -childrens books
    -rattle
    -swaddle
    -you foodz voucher
-reuseable coffee cup with a lid

  • Magazines, books, chocolates, facial products, foot massage voucher, hair voucher.

  • For a second time mum, I would recommend either something for mum herself like pamper pack or voucher. Another idea is a visa gift card or similar or a gift card to a baby store or a store like Target. There will always be something the mum will need.

  • A pamper pack for mum sounds lovely a basket full of beauty products, bath salt, hand cream, face masks would bring a smile to her face

  • I always love getting gifts for the mum herself rather than just baby stuff

  • Pyjamas are a great gift, but might not be suitable if you don’t know her well. Perhaps a throw?

  • Grooming set! This is sometimes overlooked by new mums

  • Oh maybe some day out just for her..
