Hello!

Tried everything with my second daughter and she hates cleaning her teeth and it’s a battle twice a day. Tried cleaning with us and her sister, books on teeth cleaning, you tube videos, lots of picture toothbrushes

  • Maybe an electric toothbrush that has fun characters on it. They also have these half moon shaped toothed brushes that are really easy for kids to use and they have a sideways action to clean the teeth instead of up and down and use silicon bristles instead of the normal white ones.

  • Character toothbrushes are always fun. Doing it with mum, dad and/or siblings. An electric character toothbrush could encourage teeth cleaning

  • When my kids were younger we had this wee book called Karius & Bactus. It’s a great book for kids about tooth hygiene

  • Keep doing what you’re doing but don’t make it a battle and be gentle with your little one.
    Have you tried a 3D brush ?
My youngest hated brushing teeth too.
We turned the roles a bit around. First she could brush my teeth, then I could brush her teeth

  • I bought my twins a paw patrol one because they love paw patrol.

  • There are apps you can get to brush along with that make it fun. My daughter used a wiggles one and the boys loved it when they were little.

  • Another great article filled with GREAT information Thank you! LOVE the “extra fun” you shared. Candy Crush

  • Another great article filled with GREAT information Thank you! LOVE the “extra fun” you shared. Drift Boss

  • The round tooth brushes, flashing tooth brushes, or an electric one?
It is a sensory issue, dont get mad at her.

  • Possibly look at different toothpaste.

  • A quality novelty toothbrush chosen by a a child is always a good fun incentive for brushing teeth.

  • Have you tried novelty toothbrushes? Such as character ones?. Both our children love their bluey toothbrushes and brush twice daily. We have an 18 month old and a 3 year old. Albeit, they certainly don’t brush like we do but they enjoy the independent task each day.
