  • Sliced meat,cheeses,olives,kabana,sun dried tomatoes,crackers and champagne!

  • Caramel or raspberry white chocolate croissant pudding, frittata, yoghurt granola parfaits

  • A really nice vegetable frittata that can be made in advance followed by a beautiful big fresh fruit salad. This has been a winning menu for me many times.

  • Selection of baked goods – donuts, croissants, pastries and fruit platter. Or waffles .. with a selection of toppings.

  • Croissants with a variety of spreads. Small pastries like Danishes.

  • Salomon bruschetta, bacon and eggs muffin cups(bake bacon rasher in a muffin tin then crack and egg in it and top with cheese and bake till the eggs are cooked to your liking) and pancakes!

  • It all kinda depends on what the person actually likes to eat. Some like Aussie cuisine, then there’s French and American. Take your pick, all have delicious options

  • If someone wanted to do a birthday brunch for me, I would love a big American spread. Pancakes, maple syrup, whipped cream etc. Scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Good coffee. And a couple of croissants.

  • Depending on what you’re into and if you want to go out or stay in; eggs benny is always a little special, smoked salmon Croissants with Swiss cheese & avocado, crepes with fried banana & ice-cream! A nice quiche with salad is always a versatile winner too!

  • Mini bread buns with a variety of filling (ham, chicken, cheese, brie, camembert, lettuce tomato, cucumber etc), pizza (different types), boiled eggs, crackers cheeses, olives, croissants, hash browns, spinach triangles, fruit platters, etc

  • What about a high tea theme. Or a bagel platter, people can make their own. Can use cream cheese, smoked salmon or ham or turkey, sliced onion and lettuce, capers or try a sweet one with some jams.

  • bacon and egg rolls or a breakfast bbq with bacon, sausages, eggs and toast.

  • You can’t go wrong with a grazing board or try the pavlova grazing board idea they had on the recipes page for something different!
Even things like pastries from the bakery section at your local supermarket with a few trays of fruit to help beat the heat.

  • If you want it to be quick easy and the weather is not too hot, maybe have finger food that you only have to heat. Either bought or home made. Some foods you can make in advance or make and freeze, Check if is there anybody special dietary needs and you have to keep some foods isolated from others. Platters with or without dips are something that some people enjoy.

  • Make a stack of pancakes and have different toppings on hand for people to make their own. otherwise bacon and egg rolls/ English muffins go down a treat and a side serve of bought and baked hash browns are always a winner.

  • I found a grazing board worked really well and then it appealed to all eaters and lots of the prep work can be done ahead of time or simple bought and put together. different coloured fruit, choc coated pretzels, nuts, dried fruit, boiled eggs, cold meats, cheeses, quartered avocado, bought quiche, crackers or a nice sourdough loaf, cold blueberry or banana pancakes etc the list is endless. get different height boards and bowls and have lots of colour.
