I breastfed my all four of my kids because for me that was easiest ( and obviously its good for them etc) Honestly I found it so much easier rather than having to get up and prep a bottle in the middle of the night. The downside is that unfortunately no one else can do it for you so you get ALL the night feeds haha

I fed my daughter for 8 weeks until I ran out of milk and was topping her up with formula from 2 weeks old because my milk wasn’t any good.

I didn’t want to bf my son because I actually hate it and it’s so time consuming and I didn’t have time for that with a just turned one year old as well. I fed him reluctantly thanks for the midwives pushing and making me feel bad for not, lasted 6 weeks and again my milk was crappy and I was topping him up with formula from birth because he fed so damn much.

Next one I will not be feeding

Hi i had to mix feed my little one as i had not enough breastmilk and he was jaundiced. Went to see a lactation consultant and managed to keep going till now he is 13 months.

I breast fed my first two, my last two were both breast and bottle top ups. For me, breast is best BUT It was my preference for convenience more than anything, bub needs a full belly, clean butt and lots of cuddles, they don’t care where they come from as long as they are fed and loved

both daughters did not take to breastfeeding we did try but unfortunately it was distressing for me and them. so from basically birth

I breastfed my first ( daughter ) on the second day as she refused to take the breast and being the first time mum , the nurses encouraged me to do what was easiest for both of us ( so no pressure ).
With the 2nd one ( son ) , I breastfed him for a month and I still had to top him up with formula as he was still hungry after both breasts. After that he just drank a large bottle throughout the day and I was no longer exhausted from feeding !

I know of 2 Mums (not related to each other) who have attempted to breastfeed but the babies seemed to be hungry and feeding every hour or so. The milk of both of them was tested and found to have no nourishment in it. One Mum had the same problem with each baby. All of them had to be bottlefed. One was also Lactose Intolerant.

i was able to breastfeed so it was easier than doing bottles and i pumped every now and then.

I did both, with all 4, for different times and different reasons. They are all thriving kids now.

I breast fed all my daughters, I fortunately had milk overflowing and I breastfed my first to 21 months and 2nd/3rd twin daughters until they weaned themselves at 16 months.

i tried to breastfeed my first, quit after 9 days as he was starving, so formula for him, breastfed my second for 11 weeks, 13 weeks mixed, he just took formula and didnt look back, breastfed my third until 14 months, and i think she still would be if i hadnt weaned.
I wanted to breastfeed, as a single income family, i wanted to try and save us money where i could, but sometimes babies have their own ideas

I was lucky enough to be able to breastfeed my daughter till she was 1 year and 1 week old.

I wanted to breast feed and spent an extra five days in hospital trying (with the help of many nurses) to get my baby to breast feed. After an emotional and exhausting time for me, baby, and the staff, we agreed that we would have to move on to bottle feeding. In the end I think each mother has to decide what’s best based on her own circumstances.
