Hello!

Hi, this is not really a question – rather a suggestion. 2024 has been quite a challenge for me personally! I am 72 years young. Anyway, I had to have surgery on right breast in August – a lumpectomy for malignant lump. All good & next few months I was pretty up & down mood wise. As I had radiation on this same breast in 2005 doctors could not do radiation again. I am now on Letrozole (hormone therapy treatment) 2.5mg daily for 5 years – still all good eventually. My son picked up a few books for me to read (from at our local community center). One of them was Salvation Creek by Susan Duncan. After surgery I was not in a really good positive place for some months – all the printed info I had received re b4 & after surgery, treatments etc. I threw in the bin – I was overwhelmed & had enough! I was reminded of this book this morning when I saw one of Susan Duncan’s latest books in a 3 pack for give away for December. The main character in book is Susan – both her brother & husband died within a short time of each other (cancer). Then Susan developed breast cancer herself. I will always keep this book – the writer talks about how she feels, what is happening with her breast cancer, it is a little hard for me to explain – however reading what happened & mentioning her fears, referring to her daily life & how she was coping & living was really, really helpful to me. Although this book is fiction it really touched me & helped to lift my spirits & become motivated & inspired again. This book may be in your local library & for anyone who has had breast cancer it is an excellent read. Thanks Susan Duncan!!
