Any suggestions for a good camera for travelling. Do not want a big and bulky camera.

  • Nikon coolpix is a good little camera.

  • There’s so many little cameras in the market suitable fir travelling. Even your mobile takes great shots. I have a little Kodak, cost about $80, takes awesome pics, fits in my handbag and gas a wrist strap fir when in use

  • I have an iPhone 4 and it takes the best pictures. It small, light weight and convenient. You can also take them to a photo printing centre and have them printed out. Great option over a camera

  • You can get compact cameras at a great price, mine is a Sony Cyber-shot and it’s fab.

  • Honestly I can’t go past my smartphone camera, dragging around a camera when the phone one is so good seems a bit wasteful (I always pack a portable charger just in case too though)

  • my phone has a 14mps camera and it is great

  • Thanks STARBEAR; another one to investigate; as I don’t want anything bulky.

  • Nikon 1
Hybrid SLR with point and shoot action. Awesome. Not too bulky. Choice if different lens. Amazing picture quality

  • Thanks MEL 1; this sounds perfect and I like the option of being able to take video footage. Will investigate this camera. 🙂 Also; hope you had a good holiday! 🙂

  • I recently bought a sony handicam for an overseas hoilday. It was great and fit into my handbag. Its a video camera that also takes photos and I found it very easy to use. Photo quality was good and recharging it while away was easy. I think it cost around $300.
