Hello!

I’m planning to get my almost 9 year old daughter a laptop or computer for her birthday. Although we do have a laptop to ourselves, we’re feeling she needs her own. With endless school projects and studies, she’ll be needing it more often. Can any parents suggest a good one that has the right softwares suitable for her because mine & hubbys laptop hasnt even got microsoft publisher. Thanks in advance – positive comments only please.

  • It’s wonderful that you’re thinking ahead to support your daughter’s education and creative needs! For a 9-year-old, you’ll want a laptop or computer that’s easy to use, durable, and packed with useful software for school projects. A great option could be a Chromebook, like the Lenovo Chromebook 3 or Acer Chromebook 11, which are affordable, lightweight, and come with Google’s suite of productivity tools (Docs, Sheets, etc.), ideal for schoolwork. If you want something with more versatility, a Windows laptop like the Lenovo IdeaPad 1 or HP Stream 14 could be perfect—these often come with a free trial of Microsoft 365 (which includes Publisher), and you can easily purchase a subscription later for full access to the suite. Both options are kid-friendly, reliable, and perfect for school tasks like writing, research, and creative projects. Plus, they’re great for streaming, games, and learning apps, making them a versatile choice as she grows. https://dddcodigo.com.br/

  • It sounds like a great idea to get your daughter her own laptop! For school projects and studies, a Chromebook could be a fantastic option, as it’s user-friendly and has access to Google Docs, which is perfect for writing assignments. If you’re looking for something more versatile, consider a Windows laptop like the HP Pavilion or Lenovo IdeaPad, both of which can run Microsoft Office and other educational software. Be sure to check if they come with Microsoft Publisher or if you can easily download it. Happy birthday to your daughter!

  • We still have the Toshiba but Dell is also good.

  • We bought our daughter a Toshiba and she’s had it for a few years now with no problems.

  • We have a Mac book pro and love it to death!

  • What laptop did you end up getting?

  • Any laptop you get now will probably have window 8 installed which is tricky for windows 7 users to get used to but a new user should be fine, just invest in Microsoft office, regardless of the laptop its got the best features. CHoose a reputable brand though, Acers, Toshibas, Asus all quality computers

  • Although tablets are more in routine for school goers but I think laptop would be a better option cause tablets are not convenient for assignments. I only have experience with hp and I am really satisfied with it. JB HiFi has good products with reasonable price.

  • Hope you found one that you like

  • Hope you found a good one! I bet your daughter was over the moon :)

  • what one did you get?

  • I have heard most of the schools are moving to tablets now – I’d check what the school has as they would be a good indicator of what sort of thing you’d need.

  • What did you end up getting?

  • Hope all went well with your laptop purchase.

  • What sort of lap top did you end up getting?

  • I would ask at somewhere like Harvey Norman or the Good Guys

  • What did you end up getting?

  • I would ask what they use at the school!

  • Don’t get a Toshiba there crap.

  • Hope you were able to decode after the helpful tips
