Hello!

We got a large package the other day and now have a square box almost as tall as my toddler. Does anyone have a suggestion of what we can do with it, I don’t want to waste this rare opportunity?

  • Storage of items can be useful. If you gave young kids, mKe it into a cardboard box car/ bus.

  • Turn it into a car/boat/plane/cubby house. Or let them draw all over it. Ask them what they think. Sometimes kids can surprise you

  • The first thing I thought of was I’d decorate it and turn it into a toy box.

  • The opportunities are endless and it depends on what your little one is into. My son would love to turn his into a race car. But I think if it really is that big, I would go for a cubby/castle!

  • Personally I think things like a cubby house, castle, cave, play kitchen, car, air plane, truck are the best !

  • I would say just put it in storage until you find a use for it.

  • I saw on Pinterest, they had laid the box down on its side, punched small holes in the top and then threaded fairy lights through it. Looked fab!

  • turn it into a cubby, car, puppet show, kitchen, fridge or l just cut flaps out so bub can peek through them as it can be a tunnel

  • Can you decorate it and make it into a doll or cubby house .

  • Wow, so many options! A cubby house is a great thing. A castle. A kitchen stove. A cave. Find something your toddler likes and go from there

  • Decorate it with easy craft activities such as patty and, paper flowers and lots of texts and crayon drawings. My kids love doing that especially when doors and windows are cut out too. The freedom of drawing on a large surface is great.

  • Build a rocket ship, or turn it into a little house or cut out a window to make a shop. The ideas are endless really. A train, a car, a boat.

  • we made a car out of ours, great fun, and my son helped make it

  • You could just leave it for your toddler to explore. big boxes are awesome

  • You could make a little shop front and have your child “sell” you things.

  • Cut out a door and window too, a little house so can go into, or make it a rocket to the moon decorated can fly real soon. Boxes are meant to be used,I use shoe boxes decorated with spray paint and pictures for storage, pencils, photos, special gifts and cards. Have fun

  • Another idea with Christmas around the corner is to make a special Santa post box for posting a letter to Santa.

  • Endless possibilities! A castle, cubby house, robot…let your imagination go wild!
