Some of the boards have been polished but some is like new as I had to pull up the carpet, my has is pretty old and I don’t want more carpet on it but I don’t want to replace with carpet, does anyone use on their floodboughts.

  • I wouldn’t use it either, as I think it would be far too slippery. The brand Cedar do a nice floor polish. Running a walnut on scratches works well for a short term fix.


  • Coconut oil is pretty expensive. I woukd try proper floor stuff, hopefully its cheaper


  • I would check with the manufacturer


  • I would just try and test it on a small area and see what the effect is.


  • I would be concerned about the floor possibly being to slippery too?


  • I would ask experts. For me it will be to slippery


  • Maybe get some advice from a flooring store?


  • I’m not sure about coconut oil. There are plenty of wood polishes/ wood cleaners, including in the supermarket. I’d use something specifically for floorboards.


  • Hmm not sure. Best to ask the experts on that one!
