Cheap to buy does not mean cheap to run! I have found the cheapest way to enjoy a pool is to go to the local swim centre.

We bought a large above ground pool second hand for only $500 and had to dismantle it ourselves. It came with a filter but we bought a new one and patches a couple of holes in the liner,
We decked around it and painted the edges of the pool, it looks amazing now for very little cost, good luck

I don’t knw that there is a cheap way. Do be careful about quality as you don’t want to create a long term problem for yourself.

Concrete and tiled ones will crack unless you keep water in the all year round.
If you don’t want a large one you could consider a round one that can be dismantled when it isn’t going to be used at all. The most expensive part may be the pump, filter that fits them (I’m not sure if the filter is included in the pool price or not) and chemicals you have to put in it. I think you can have a salt water one but I don’t know what is involved with them.

Not the cheapest thing to buy- not even in the long run.
Can you settle for a large semi permanent one? They have good inflatable options these days

Would also love to know if there is a budget way to get a pool. The costs have always outweighed the benefits for us. We have always used public pools, the river and sea to swim.

Fibreglass isn’t always necessarily cheaper than concrete pools – depends on many different factors but as for cheap pools only blow up ones are gping to be in the “cheaper” range. So long as they have filtration you won’t have to keep changing the water
