Well, honestly, we keep it pretty quiet. One of my kids has a late December birthday and we like to make a fuss of that. So then we keep Christmas a bit more low key. Generally we stick to immediate family only, a buffet style lunch, and a quiet afternoon by the pool.

We always host at one of our houses. This year my brother and his wife are hosting us and having a BBQ lunch type of spread. We are all bringing something around. Next year I’ll host at our new house, where we’ll have a pool, big back yard and live near the beach.

My comment below should have read it can be a whole lot of fun to research. Another good thing we like to do is to find new places to go for Christmas. We always make a list of places we like to go and things we like to do for Christmas; variety is fun and trying new things can be exciting.

After many years of traditional Christmas lunches and family get togethers, we now like to mix it up and do a fusion menu and also introduce new ideas for Christmas. It can be a whole lot of to research foods and traditions from other countries. We also alternate between cold and hot Christmas lunches.

I’m probably not a great deal of help as we always do the same thing aswell however I’m not sure if you mean on Christmas Day or just around Christmas? Because there are Christmas carols you can attend and events like that, Christmas Day this year is supposed to be warm in most parts of Australia I believe so perhaps a beach day or a nice swim spot?
