  • BBQ chickens are also purchased in our household for super easy meals too. They are good for shredding and adding to other recipes when chicken is required. BBQ chickens are also good for buying and taking to get together times over the Christmas and holiday period. Most people seem to like and eat BBQ chicken at these events.

  • I have never experienced this from any BBQ chicken that I have purchased anywhere. I think they are pretty much the same no matter where you go to be honest. I actually really love eating them as is, or using leftovers to make meals or to use cold for lunches and the like.

  • That’s unusual, most people love them but I guess if you aren’t used to the taste then maybe it’s aquried over time.
It’s worth trying again and making sure there was nothing wrong with the one you purchased as they are pretty yummy and so quick and easy to purchase

  • I have bought cooked BBQ chickens from Coles, Woolworths, other grocery stores and the markets and they have all been delicious. They are good to buy when a quick roast chicken is needed. I prefer to buy chickens and cook them at home but both options are good and delicious to eat.

  • Are you sure you picked a regular chook? Because i know ive seen different flavours including a Vegemite one which i would imagine would be disgusting. But usually the chooks taste amazing, the only issue i have its the price now as well as the size. They used to be decent and only $9 now they keep on increasing sales price whilst the chooks are shrinking. And the stuffing is always perfect!!

  • I actually love the flavour but am so disappointed in the sizes nowadays. They are absolutely tiny and so expensive. I used to always pop in and get them at mark down time after work. You may have to try one from elsewhere as most are usually a nice taste.

  • I don’t buy bbq chickens very often but when I do it’s usually from Woollies or Coles. It wasn’t until I tried takeaway restaurant ones from El Jannah and Oporto that I realised how dry the supermarket bbq chickens are. I only buy bbq chicken when I’m really stuck for dinner ideas or if I’m hosting a family get-together.
