Hello!

Our work dresses up for Halloween every year as it adds a bit of fun to our day, I’ll be around 20 weeks pregnant when Halloween comes around this year and I’m look more like I have a beer belly than pregnant so I’m looking for some costume ideas, most of what I’ve found for pregnant women at Halloween involves showing off your bare belly which is neither work appropriate or in my comfort zone. Any suggestions are so very much appreciated.

  • Did you find some ideas for this? I’ve seen a couple of good ones – a little alien bursting out of your tummy like from the movie Alien, humpty dumpty sitting on a wall (where the egg is your tummy), as the lead character from Juno, and as a disco ball.

  • lol it would be a cool pumpkin

  • I’d look at what is available unless you can sew and whip it up yourself – a zombie or witch is something you could whip out of your wardrobe – google images of the walking dead for zombie ideas

  • I was thinking of a pumpkin idea or maybe a cookie or cracked egg

  • Oh I love the pumpkin idea. That would be great!

  • If they know your pregnant then a good option is a skeleton with baby skeleton in your belly/torso
Depending on how crafty you are you can get black pants and stretchy black top and paint on skeleton…or I believe you can buy them. I did this at 6 or 7 months, very cute.

  • Go as a pumpkin!
Something similar to this, I think it looks fantastic!

I also love the bun in the oven idea!

  • A witch would be perfect or any superhero with a cape as they all have long flowing capes.

  • Maybe a witch you could wear black leggings black top and purchase a black cape so it will not restirct your belly.

  • Wear regular clothing and use a box to make an oven big enough to fit around your body and be a bun in the oven

  • This is quite a good idea and would not be too expensive. Wear a nice loose pair of pull on black pants made of lightweight crepe or cotton and wear a black poncho with a black fringing over these. If it is a little cool you can wear a warmer thermal top underneath the poncho. Then add your other Halloween accessories such as a wig, witches hat etc and don’t forget your long black fingernail! lol!!! hope this helps. When I was 7 months pregnant my darling mum made me this outfit [pants and poncho in a lovely evening wear material in black and I dressed it up with silver jewellery and silver sandals and evening bag and looked a million dollars and felt like it too! LOL!!
