Credit card safety?

Hello!

I don’t know if anyone else has had a problem, but our credit card got hacked into on the computer, even though it was supposed to be a “safe” site. My husband and I have the same credit card. Now I am not game to use it in case it ever happens again. How or what do other people use when they want to make sure online purchases … what can someone suggest?

I haven’t had a problem but alot of people use paypal for this reason.

From what others have told me HTTP/ sites are the safest and use Paypal if you want to pay online as there is dispute process policy just in case you need it . In the meantime , hope the police are on to it .

We have Internet security,mths ts supposed to help. As is changing your passwords regularly. Those hackers are shocking

My daughter 28 just had the same problem,brought some body wraps from a living social page,paid $30 didn’t receive the item,the company later took $88 from her bank,she had to change her card.

There should be a little padlock on the top of the website bar if there isn’t i won’t use it.

Also; maybe see if stores have the same products as online if you are still feeling uncomfortable.

Only use trusted sites and have a low limit too.

paypal. a lot of people I know also have a very low limit card specifically for online purchase.

do use your credit card online, there are other options to protect yourself

I opened a separate account and got a visa debit card. When I want to buy something online, I transfer the cash onto the card and complete the transaction.

I also use paypal to ensure that it is safer. I have never had a problem with this.
