  • Yes very important for binding and to regulated bubs hear rate etc. Midwives will always encourage skin to skin when possible.


  • Nope. My first was born by emergency c section and I was passed out when he arrived. My second was born my elective c section but the hospital didn’t let me have skin to skin contact because they said the operating theatre was too cold and they wanted him out quickly. I found it tough.


  • I was only able to hold my daughter for a couple of minutes before she was taken away for monitoring.


  • O yes when my first one was born she get my skin contact about 4 to 5 hours which is very good for baby
