Yes, we kept the gender a surprise, but with our second one we accidentally found out

We didn’t want to know ourselves, but were convinced based on the shape of my tummy and the amount of movement that we were going to have a boy. We were pleasantly surprised at the birth when the midwife announced “It’s a girl”. My husband and I looked at each other with quizzical looks and then smiled.

We kept the baby’s names secret from everyone else, but shared gender when we knew.
