Hello!

I find leaving dishes overnight to drain gives the dishes a better shine when I put them away in morning.

  • Definitely worth saving the time!

  • Yes, I drip dry my dishes. Unless you have a dishwasher to use, leaving dishes to drip dry is the most hygienic way to dry them.

  • Yes we hand-wash our dishes in the evening and leave them to dry overnight.

  • I wash dishes after dinner and put them away just before I go to bed. They are air dry by then.

  • i always leave overnight so they can air dry properly. would love to know what dish liquid you use if it gives them extra shine

  • I did, till we had a cockroach problem. Then I worried about creepy crawlies crawling over my dishes while they were out. So not any more.

  • Would be nice if the dishes were just magically done! 😉

  • Use the method that works best for you when it comes to dishes!

  • I don’t dry any of my dishes unless I’ve just washed it and require it straight away. I prefer to airdry – works for me

  • I wouldn’t advise it as there was a couple time we did that only because it was so late and woke up with live cockroaches in the sink licking up the dishes.

  • Yes we leave them overnight as well!

  • I always wash my dishes and leave them to air dry. In the morning and at night. It’s so much easier and I think they dry better in the dish drainer then with a tea towel.

  • I al

  • always, they sit there for days some times

  • I do as many as I can before bed & they dry overnight, I get up in the morning put away them and do whatever’s left before making breakfast dishes, haha! My kitchen feels lik a restaurant, constant dishes! I’m cool with the though 🙂

BTW they do say dishes should always air dry, it’s the most hygienic way so really we’re doing what’s best for the family 😉 haha!

  • Absolutely overnight doing is better for containers with lids and sappy cups where the ridges are hard to dry. Also splits up the jobs.

  • I not only leave them to drain, I also don’t wash them til the morning! Am I a slacker? I rinse the off the night before, soak whatever needs it and wan in the am. Then I leave them to drain til late afternoon. That way, I don’t have to put them all away as I often use them again for tea that night

  • I do this for laziness as well as this reason.. A tea towel never seems to do a good enough job, but if needed I will use.

  • so a lot of people do the same lol

  • Yes, just cover with clean tea towel incase flies
