  • I made some fig and peach jam and it turned out really well. My family loved it.

  • Placemats, christmas ornaments, photo frames and bookmarks are things kids can help with.

  • Jams, cookies

  • I always make some really nice shortbread and buy some quality tea towels and wrap the biscuits in the towel tie with ribbon or raffia. People seem to really appreciate a home mead gift!

  • When it comes to family, I like to make items using photos of the kids or things the kids have made. I know most grandparents treasure these gifts

  • We do simple short bread and gingerbread biscuits and decorate them, wrap them in cellophane and give them as gifts with home made cards from the children.

  • Fooooooood!
I saw a malteser slice thing a while back that I’m planning on making for friends this year. Yuuuuuum!

  • Anything home- made goes down well with me as home-made means you have put love into the mix and it’s way more personal. Craft, baking or home-made candle making the list is endless. I love fudge and you can make a child’s version right up to an adult version with rum or whiskey. My Elf and Santa Munch Mix (on here in the Christmas Recipe Section) is also a delicious festive treat and trust me is super great when relaxing and watching a movie.

  • Homemade body scrubs, hot chocolate mix

  • I find that all hand made gifts are so well received! Be it homemade shortbread, biscuit or cakes; personalized gifts like photo frames, cups, etc that can quickly and easily be ordered with your own photos through the likes of Vistaprint or Snapfish; a hand selected hamper – buy a basket from the $2 shop and add moisturizers, creams, bathbombs, etc; even something so small as a handcrafted card! I love nothing better than receiving a non shop bought and unique gift!

  • Here is a link to a bunch of projects that I have completed as gifts for others. Yes, it’s just a beginning for generating ideas: https://www.pinterest.com.au/kristyawagner/completed-projects/

Something I have been meaning to do is a gift is a book of inspiring quotes. I may need some lead time with that though.

  • Apple cider vinegar – put apple peel and cores into white vinegar and let it sit for a week or so Then strain. Or Vanilla essence – vanilla pods in vodka – there are heaps of recipes online.

  • homemade relish, sauce and spice rubs – food things like mason jars with the dry ingrediants for cookies etc then all the person has to add is eggs and butter etc

homemade beauty products like sugar scrubs

if you have kids get them to draw a portait of their grandparents, aunts/uncles etc and then frame it as a gift

get on to pintrest – and do a search for handmade gifts and you will be spoilt for ideas there

I highly recommend adding something handmade to each personsgift – I am doing gift tags which will then be fridge magnets for use all year round!

  • Cooking & baking, candle making, Christmas wreath, Christmas piece in a flower pot/bowl with holly, candles, moss, pinecones and berries, handmade tree decorations, sewed angels and stars, etc

  • I love making books full of vouchers. I include coffee, outings, movie nights, etc. Just include what you can do and what the other person enjoys.

  • I love to bake and cook and make sweet and savoury treats at Christmas time. These treats look good packed into jars, wrapped in cellophane or in little boxes. I make bath salts – which also look pretty in jars. Hand made cards are also fun to make with a little voucher attached for coffee out or some other activity or treat.

  • There is this Kindle book for free today. Maybe you’d like to download it? Homemade Christmas Gifts: 14 Gift Ideas & DIY Home Decor https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B00FW6W8J8

  • Photo’s of loved ones in a beautiful frame and home-made cakes and cookies.

  • Generally at Christmas the only homemade gifts I make are food items, like cookies.
