When my kid was teething I used teething gel to help sooth his gums. And pain relief products as needed. He also had rusks that helped him.

Imagine a tooth working itself through the jaw bone, that sure can be painful !

My eldest daughter didnt get her first tooth until she was just over a year old. She got one straight after another and had no issues at all.

All kids are different. I didn’t notice much pain and suffering during teething with my kids, but others are really bad. I think the pain is real

im my opinion my son was an easy teether and so i wasnt too worryied for him. he would drool alot and it would go everywhere and sometimes id find him chewing on things but other than that i found coping with him while teething was simple.

Of course it hurts – it’s just that some babies, like people, have a greater tolerance of pain. All the remedies suggested here are great and taking their mind off their pain also helps, like a cuddle and a playtime. Use whatever works and remember how you feel with a toothache – the nerves are still the same for big or little people.

Panadol or Nurofen are helpful as is Bonjela.

It is definitely real. Imagine how you would feel with a tooth pushing through your gum. I found that bonjella worked and so did using a teething ring that I had put in the fridge. It was cold and gave some relief. I think every child is different and you need to try many things to find what works for your child

My eldest didn’t seem to have any problems with teething but my 10 month old is definitely struggling, poor bub. If she’s quite unsettled I put amber beads around her ankle give her panadol at night. The panadol definitely helps but the jury is out on the beads. It might or might not.

Every child is different with their tolerance to pain. I found with my children that when they were teething as well as Panadol to ease the pain I gave them 100% fruit juice ice blocks in the plastic tubes you get unfrozen from the Supermarket. It numbs the gums & helps reduce any temperature that they can get.

The best thing to relieve teething pain in kids which I swear by and have helped many mums out with is to cut a lemon in quaters and scoop the pulp off and rub their gums pith (white) side down. If they are old enough let them hold it and chew on it. They might not like it at first but persevere as it works.

Sure think so ! Just imagine in some way a tooth has to drill itself through the jaw and pierce itself through the gum….

It sure is real. Some of my baby’s teeth came through no problem, other caused heaps of problems.
Cold pacifiers helped. also panadol and bonjella

Absolutely teething pain is real. Some babies are lucky enough they obviously teeth quick and without too much pain and inflammation, but other bubs really suffer. I know it hurts when my wisdom teeth move in my gums. Aside from teething toys, Panadol, bonjela and nurofen the other thing I find my son likes is chewing on a cold wet flannel. I even crush some ice up and wrap it up in the flannel. Hope the rest of your bubs teeth come through quickly and with as little pain as possible 🙂
