Hello!

My pizza base recipe is: 2.5 cups plain flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 (7g) sachet yeast, half cup warm water. This recipe is not always reliable – sometimes the base rises and sometimes it doesn’t. Does anyone have a no fail pizza base recipe?

  • 1 cup Greek yoghurt to 1 cup self raising flour. Simply combine the two and roll out as normal. Can double the ingredients for more bases.

  • 1 cup Greek yoghurt and one cup of self raising flour, mix together. If you want more increase both. Makes a light tasty pizza base.

  • I’ll have to try some of these pizza bases as the recipe I use is a bit unreliable too.

  • i can’t remember the exact amounts of ingredients but it is flour and yoghurt basically and it makes a nice shortcut dough.

  • You are welcome, MOM93821! I love preparing my pizza. My daughter is a big fan! :-)

  • I DO!!! buy pitta breads and use them… A yummy base and no fail LOL

  • Good one mom90758 – thanks for sharing your recipe with pizza lovers- sounds pretty good.

  • I use 250 grams flour, 50 grams semolina, 170 ml water, 1 sachet of dry yeast, salt, some tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
I’ve never used sugar in my pizza base.

  • This may not be of benefit for you as its not homemade and the base doesn’t rise – but my no fail pizza base is Pita bread. Takes 5-10 mins in oven once toppings applied, my kids love it and its so quick. The oven makes the pita bread crispy enough for toddlers to hold themselves and is healthy. Its my no fail.

  • I have never made a pizza base.
My mother in law put me off because she always has trouble.
I would love to be able to make it.
