Short answer yes. But this doesn’t mean you have to be up all night, avoid snack feeds & give final feed as late as possible. I had to go into my room for this one at first, somewhere totally quiet so bub got a long uninterrupted feed & plenty of hind milk & gave him a little poke when he was dozing off & he’s fine till 6 or 7 am 🙂 good luck either way!

A lot of people suggest formula for night but does your bub already take a bottle? Also if formula doesn’t agree with bub you could find yourself with other problems like reflux and constipation. I would keep breastfeeding as whenever I’ve tried formula at night one of the above has happened.

All I can say is yes from my own experience. My one son used to keep me up almost all night as he would suck for a couple of mins then sleep only to wake up again to suck. It was so tiring. Eventually feeling like a zombie, I started giving him formula at night. What bliss! He would sleep 3 to 5 hours and when he went onto solids, it went to 7/8 hours. I was one happy mum.
