This may be the start of an ongoing issue. If she sucks a dummy you may also want to consider removing it also as when they suck their auditory tube is open and dummy suckers are 3 times more likely to have infections. Both of my kids sucked dummies and my daughter was fine however we had lots of issues with my son and in Prep he finally got the grommets he should have gotten 2 years earlier. Perhaps buy aqua ear from the chemist if you feel she is retaining water in her ears.

Make an apt with an ENT . You’ll need a referral but get an experts opinion . I also find that the ear must be completely submerged or totally out as half way is like water lapping and they hate it .

I heard of people very prone to this problem. My daughter had this problem too while swimming in the ocean with the school. Wearing ear plugs helped her a lot.

My little boy ended up needing to have grommets.

Maybe dry her ears after swimming with cotton tip ,gently .Or .ear plugs or rubber cap .

Yes!!! My daughter had constant ear infections. I ended up pulling her out of lessons- not sure how to stop it happening

You can get this strap that goes over both of the childs ears and stop the water from getting in there.

Not with swimming, but some kids are just far more prone to ear infections. My eldest had one every week (it seemed) for five years, but my other two have pretty much avoided them.

We had the same issue with our toddler & swimming, we ended up taking him out of swimming altogether as he kept getting ear infections. In the end he had to have grommets put in. I would maybe get a second opinion.

Im really not sure about this but im thinking it might not be a bad thing to take her to a different Doctor. Ears are not something that you want to play about with and it might be that you will have to use ear plugs with her.
