Hello!

I need ideas ladies – My daughter thinks 3 elves are visiting this year and I have no clue as to what I will do with them for 24 nights. Please give me some fun but very easy ideas to help me through the long 24 days leading up to Christmas.

  • Another good thing to do is to look online and search for Elf on the Shelf for lists of fun and good ideas for this Christmas time activity. It really is a time to have a whole lot of fun. It is also a good idea to use the brains trust of friends and family for ideas too.

  • Oh my! You do have your hands full 😀
Personally I have never done elf on the shelf because our kids were too old when it became known to us but I do love seeing everyone’s posts. The most memorable to me are always the cheapest… drawing on fruit, using the butt brush (child’s toothbrush) etc. my sister got tired one year and so to give herself a break she left footprints going out the window and an I’ll be back note. Then when she was ready she brought them back with a small gift each (like a Lolly or something) like the elf had gone to the shops. It bought her some time and the kids loved waiting to see when the elf would come home

  • I like seeing the pictures of the elf doing cute and funny things. I wouldn’t particularly like doing the messy, naughty and destructive scenes some people create. If you look up elf on the shelf you will find endless inspo, every year I see such creative situations parents have put them in

  • Elf on the Shelf really is a bit of fun and it is also an opportunity for the creativity and fun to flow. We like to recreate scenes from movies. Animated movies and Christmas movies are particularly good for being able to recreate scenes. We also like to have our elf in the pantry eating food and also in the garden getting up to mischief!
