There are programs where people will come and replace all your light bulbs with energy efficient ones for free. Try contacting your electricity company.

LED are supposed to use a fraction of the electricity. I think they’re an expensive outlay to start with but you recoup the cost over time with them.

Bunnings/home hardware stores can give you advice and kit you out with the best energy efficient light bulbs suitable for your house.

We have led light bulbs, meant to be the best for energy saving and not too expensive to buy either

We are slowly getting all Compact Fluorescent bulbs in the house. They are expensive at the beginning but they let you save over time.

We like LED bulbs. They run cool and super energy efficient. Quite expensive though – maybe try one and see what you think.
