Hello!

I’m looking for advice on eyelash extensions? Do they wreck natural lashes? Are they worth the money?

  • If applied correctly, lash extensions will not have any effect on your natural lashes. … Lash extensions are applied directly to the lash line, and they tend to last until your natural lashes fall out. It is completely normal for your natural lashes to shed from time to time, like all hair on your body.

  • They will affect the health of your natural lashes. I would only use them occasionally.

  • Ive only ever used them once, and I wont use them again. My natural eyelashes ended up all scraggly and unhealthy looking

  • Personally I would not recommend them.
Although I’m lucky enough to have thick and long eye lashes myself ,my prior workplace had a beautician come in and do them for all the female staff before the companies big product launch. Don’t know why they insisted we all had to do it, but we did and although I followed all the instructions given for care and maintenance the false lashes often caught on clothing or bedding and removed mine ( often in clumps) Was not impressed and it took ages before my lashes even resembled their healthy original appearance!

  • i have had mine done several times, they won’t ruin your own lashes if you go to a good reputable lash technician. Also, after having them on DO NOT pull them out, you will damage your own.

  • I don’t like them

  • Not to sure but I hope other mums can help you. Good luck.

  • I have never had fake lashes as I have been blessed with long lashes myself. However, I have a few friends who have had them but they got eye infections and it ruined their lashes so now they just stick with the false ones they can do themselves.

  • I have had them, and I personally would never get them again, they were removed correctly and it took me ages to get my own lashes, back to the way they were.

  • I have never used them but have heard some people say they are great and some say they are a waste of time and money

  • There is up keep cost, but look great..so it comes down to are you happy to pay the up keep cost?

  • interesting answers. never heard of eyelash mascara! will have to look out for it.

  • I’m wary of the cost vs quality. I’ve used the fibre lashes a few times, but mostly I find them annoying too.

  • I have the same as MOM63880 the mascara with lash fibres. As I’ve gotten older my lashes have slowly diminished a little and I find the lash fibres amazing.

  • One of my nieces tried the eyelash extensions, and had nothing but trouble with them. For some reason they really irritated her eyes, and she said they were too expensive for what you got.

  • It’s worth a try:)

  • Thanks for asking i was wondering too

  • If they are done properly they are great , no more mascara and no panda eyes.

  • I found the false lash mascara to be better. You can have the look of false lashes it takes a few seconds longer than regular mascara and you can make them the length that you want them. I found the eyelash extensions high maintenance and they often curl in weird ways if you sleep on them. The eyelash mascara is usually two wands one is a mascara the other has the fibres. You start with mascara, then fibres then mascara and repeat till you get the look you want. Sometimes the fibres fall so you may need to powder your face after. I love them! They wash off with warm water and no damage!

  • I’ve often wondered about them myself, so thank you for asking this question, judging by the comments here I think I will steer clear of them, plus they are very expensive. I really want to try the younique mascara that puts little fibres on the end and is meant to be like extensions.
