Hello!

It’s coming to winter and as I’m in Melbourne i sometimes hibernate. I need some good activities for a 2yo and 3yo please!

  • We love playing hide and seek as a family!

  • Play doh, painting, arts and crafts, blocks, board games, baking, making forts, drawing :)

  • Play doh, if you can cope with the mess. In fact, most craft activities work well. Drawing or colouring in. Duplo blocks. Fisher price people toys can spark imaginative play.

  • I always loved camping in the lounge room, using the furniture and sheets and blankets for the tent.

  • Lego duplo, creativity is endless.
Cardboard boxes, make little cubby houses, pretend cars, puppet shows, etc.
Dancing to music, kids love to dance.
Record them singing if they can sing and let them listen back.
Dot to dot books, colouring books, drawing paper and let them go wild.
Let them help with housework, they are really interested at this age and we often don’t have the patience but give them little chores to do, they might take ages but will feel rewarded if you tell them they are so helpful.
Audio books that have the books with it, my son spent ages listening to them and they tell them when to turn the page, I also believe it helps them learn to read early.
    Have fun!

  • Build an obstacle course, build a tent went bed sheets, craft activities, games and puzzles, baking, catch up with friends, bush walks

  • Set up the cardboard tubes from inside paper towel/ toilet paper rolls as ten pins and let the kids play ten pin bowling down the hallway.
