Hello!

Hey mummies was wondering if anyone could recommend some great books to read. I’m not really into just one genre love lots of different books. Just need some new things to read.
I have Google play books so read a lot of “Indy” authors or unknown authors too.
Thank you so much ladies :)

  • These are the authors i like
David Baldacci for FBI/CIA type thrillers
    James Patterson – crime
    Patricia Cornwall – crime
    Marian Keyes – humour
    Brent Weeks – fantasy

  • I love anything by Mariam Keyes, she is an Irish author that are mostly fun and page turners. A couple are better then others. Her first good one was called Sushi for beginners. Im just reading The women that stole my life, which is good.

  • Anything by Jodi Piccoult is amazing. Stephen King for a bit of a scare. Jackie Collins for a bit of raunch. Celebrity autobiographies can be interesting. I’ve read Keith Richards, Ronnie Woods (yep, Stones fan here!) and Rod Stewart, loved them all, very colourful life stories!

  • alright i don’t think that i missed it but you have to read some stephen king, he is a really good author and not every book is ridiculous. gerald’s game is a pretty good one.

  • Thanks everyone enough books here to keep me busy for awhile

  • You can go wrong with Robin Hobb or Anne Rice or Kate Forsyth

  • Thanks for the suggestions.

  • Wonder by R J Palacio is an amazing read. Recommend it 110%

  • never read any books by jane green

  • If you like romance any books by Jane Green are great!!

  • Thanks ladies!

  • When the dust settles

  • I honestly am beyond excited to read these new novels. I love New things to read. And can’t wait to start.

  • I have ‘I am Pilgrim’ on my bedside table. By all accounts it’s a real page turner! I haven’t started yet.

  • If you like quick paced novels, I would suggest Matthew Reilly. Author of Ice Station and Area 7 along with a few dozen more. Very easy to read and highly entertaining!

  • I loved Paullina Simons The Bronze Horseman The Bronze Horseman is a romance novel and a Trilogy. Thank goodness as you will want more to read. I learned a lot about a lovely love story set in 1940’s to the 70’s. Tatiana and Alexander love life is so exciting and I found it hard to put the book down. I do hope you enjoy this book. (p.s. I picked up my extra copies at St Vinnies at a fraction of the price of a new book and I bought all three of the Trilogy for a friend to read.)

  • Gemmas bluff is a book ive won from here and it was a great easy read…. very romantic and relatable :)

  • I’ve read “Travelling to infinity” too. Very interesting. Even if probably a book I wouldn’t read again. While books like “Little Women” “Persuasion” “Emma” “Wuthering Heights”.. I read them different times.

If you want to laugh and read a story about very remarkable women, I advise you “The help” by Katrynn Stockett. Maybe you’ve seen the movie already but, if you haven’t, you’ll love the book. Promised! :-)

  • I have not had a chance to read them yet but I do trust the person who suggested them… The Stephanie Plumb series by Janet Evanovich, have been told they are hilarious.
If you are look for some light reading I enjoyed the Beautiful Creatures series (don’t judge it by the movie lol)

  • I just finished reading travelling to infinity … The story behind the theory of everything …great reading to say the least ..would definetly reccomend
