  • Shopping varies for us.
We have a child with allergies so his food is more expensive. But if I see 1/2 price or marked down foods that can be frozen etc I try to stock up. I spend around $200 a week which includes our large dogs food

  • We are a family of 3 plus a dog a car and 2 tropical fish. We spend anywhere between $200-$350 a fortnight. $350 is the absolute Max we spend a fortnight. We meal plan to get the costs down, go the cheaper options, buy bulk in the animals food from the pet shop. We also use rewards programs and check what brings points up to ensure we are getting our money’s worth for the rewards programs (flybuys and Woolworths rewards). We also shop around and shop either first thing or the end of the day to get specials and clearance items.

  • Everyone is going to be different, but we always stock up on 1/2 price specials

  • Lost of meal planning buying in bulk or when things are reduced or on special family of 6 here two adults 18,14,12 and 6.5 months children 3 boys one little girl so they tend to eat slot being that I’m at home at the moment I also do slot of baking brings the cost down too

  • We spend about the same. I only buy dishwashing and laundry products when they are 1/2 price, but we don’t skimp. I do meal plan for the week to avoid overspending, but groceries are just getting more and more expensive.

  • It varies as l buy specials for that week and save money or buy in bulk to save in the future.

  • Family of 5. 2 adults, 6 year old, 2 year old and 5 month old.
Spend about $400- $550 per fortnight. I shop sales and buy discount in bulk when I can. We also have a cat and dog so when these are due for stuff it is the higher end but they tend to be a 1 month min bulk buy.

  • We spend around $250 – $300 per week. 2 adults 1 child.

  • 2 adults 1 toddler and a newborn we spend around $150 a week and do a big shop every few months to stock up on everything

  • We spend under that amount and find meal planning, shopping lists and buying at different markets and stores is the best way we stay on budget. We also shop in season and purchase products on special.

  • Oh dear, we spend more like $650 a week for the 6 of us.

  • Around 500 for two adults, a toddler, newborn, cat and dog.
Sometimes it goes a bit over if we’re buying nappies and wipes as we tend to buy those things in bulk. Also if formula is on sale then we will buy between 3 and 4 tins at the one time.

  • 2 adults and about $200 per fortnight.

  • 2a2k -around 350$ fortnight if we are strictly buying what is needed and what its on the list.
